CRS-1 is name of house music UK producer and DJ Chris Sears.
Rooted in a lifelong obsession with electronic music and club culture, CRS-1 is about making records with a simple purpose: they should work on a dancefloor. Big grooves, memorable hooks, energy and just enough mischief.
The project draws on more than three decades spent around dance music — from the records, clubs and DJs that shaped the original house era through to the producers pushing it forward today. The sound isn’t tied to one narrow corner of house music; if it has the groove, it belongs.
CRS-1 releases through Whiteberry Records, with original productions, collaborations and visual projects forming an expanding catalogue.
